- Chiropractic Intern
Laurel is currently practicing as a chiropractic intern under the supervision of both Dr. Rebecca Laginski and Dr. Carolyn McNeill. She is expected to graduate in May 2022.
Laurel graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree in 2018. While completing her undergraduate degree, she had the opportunity to work as a therapist for the Women’s Varsity Field Hockey team and was fortunate enough to travel across Canada with the athletes and provide on field care for various sports-related injuries. She is currently completing her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC).
Laurel uses an evidence-based approach in her practice and believes each individual is unique. She strives towards providing an individualized, evidence-based treatment plan for every patient. She likes to use a diverse range of treatment techniques, including chiropractic adjustments and mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, modalities, progressive rehabilitative exercises, and education.
She has a special interest in sports-related injuries, jaw/facial pain, neck pain/headaches, back pain, healthy aging and other musculoskeletal injuries. She has obtained certification in performing instrument assisted soft tissue therapy and is currently working towards certification in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture.
When she’s not in the clinic you may find her skiing, weight training, paddle boarding, cooking/baking and spending time with her friends and family.
Laurel grew up in Ottawa and is very excited to be returning home. She looks forward to working with her patients to educate and inspire them towards reaching their health goals.
