Chiropractic care

Our goal is to provide lasting results with fewer appointments

to get you back to doing what you love.

Our amazing team of chiropractors have a minimum of eight years of post-secondary education and are constantly learning with continued education to bring you the most advanced treatments we can.

We spend 60 minutes with you on your initial visit and our

follow up treatments are 20-30 minutes long.

There is a common myth that once you start to see a chiropractor you cannot stop. This is NOT TRUE.

We want to help you get back to what you love in as few visits as possible.

We are here for you whenever you need us

We will not sell you a treatment plan.

Chiropractors are regulated primary health care professionals. We use a manual approach to health care that addresses all aspects of the neuromusculoskletal system (nerves, joints and muscles).

Our team of chiropractic doctors at OCSI - Ottawa Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic take time during your initial visit to diagnose your condition properly to ensure the correct treatment plan is put into place. OCSI focuses on sports injuries, so we are not limited to the spine! We treat the joints, muscles or nerves in the body including spine, knees, shoulders, elbows, ankles, hands, feet and hips.  We treat active people of all ages. Our chiropractors treat a variety of different conditions including cervicogenic headaches, neck pain, rotator cuff injuries, tennis elbow, hip pain, knee pain, ankle sprains, low back pain and

postural issues from sitting at a desk.

Treatments used by our Chiropractors

  • Exercise prescription to help build strength and improve movement
  • Muscle release therapy for tight and painful muscles such as ART, Soft Tissue Release, Functional Range Release (FR)
  • Joint mobilization to reduce pain and stiffness
  • Acupuncture to release muscle tension, decrease pain and improve healing
  • Graston Technique is instrument assisted soft tissue release to release muscle and fascia, break down scar tissue and promote healing
  • Modalities such as interferential current, ultrasound, EMS muscle stimulation and TENS
  • Patient education to decrease injury and help promote healing
  • Prescription of braces and equipment

Chiropractic is a hands on approach to health care, targeting the

nervous and musculoskeletal systems.

What to Expect

One of the most frequent comments from our new patients is they are not sure what to expect.  We want to put your mind at ease. At OCSI we take time to talk to you about what you are experiencing, what your goals are and how we can help you. We will discuss your treatment options and only move forward once you are comfortable. We strive to help you feel your best and ensure our program works for you.

The first visit is a comprehensive history, physical exam, discussion of the diagnosis and treatment options with you, determining a plan of care and a treatment. Everything we do will be discussed with you and you have the final say. Treatments could include ART, mobilizations, manipulations, rehabilitation, acupuncture, education, Graston, or electrical modalities such as IFC, Ultrasound, Microcurrent, Tens, or EMS. Your specific treatment plan will depend on your needs.

It is best to bring a pair of shorts and a loose fitting T-shirt to your first visit to assist with the physical exam. Your follow up appointments will include the treatment we discussed during your first visit.
