to get you back to doing what you love.
Our amazing physiotherapist has a minimum of six years of post-secondary education and are constantly learning with continued education to bring you the most advanced treatments we can.
We spend 60 minutes with you on your initial visit and our
follow up physiotherapy appointments are 30 minutes long.
Our physiotherapists at OCSI - Ottawa Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic take time during your initial visit to understand your condition properly to ensure the correct treatment plan is put into place. We treat the joints, muscles or nerves in the body including spine, knees, shoulders, elbows, ankles, hands, feet and hips. We treat active people of all ages. Our physiotherapists treat a variety of different conditions including cervicogenic headaches, neck pain, rotator cuff injuries, tennis elbow, hip pain, knee pain, ankle sprains, low back pain and
postural issues from sitting at a desk.
Treatments used by our Physiotherapists
- Exercise prescription to help build strength and improve movement
- Muscle release therapy for tight and painful muscles
- Joint mobilization to reduce pain and stiffness
- Acupuncture or Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) to release muscle tension, decrease pain and improve healing
- Hot and cold therapy to relieve pain, and reduce swelling
- Modalities such as interferential current, ultrasound, EMS muscle stimulation and TENS
- Patient education to decrease injury and help promote healing
- Prescription of braces and equipment
