Physiotherapy

Our goal is to provide lasting results with fewer appointments

to get you back to doing what you love.

Our amazing physiotherapist has a minimum of six years of post-secondary education and are constantly learning with continued education to bring you the most advanced treatments we can.

We spend 60 minutes with you on your initial visit and our

follow up physiotherapy appointments are 30 minutes long.

Our physiotherapists at OCSI - Ottawa Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic take time during your initial visit to understand your condition properly to ensure the correct treatment plan is put into place. We treat the joints, muscles or nerves in the body including spine, knees, shoulders, elbows, ankles, hands, feet and hips.  We treat active people of all ages. Our physiotherapists treat a variety of different conditions including cervicogenic headaches, neck pain, rotator cuff injuries, tennis elbow, hip pain, knee pain, ankle sprains, low back pain and

postural issues from sitting at a desk.

Treatments used by our Physiotherapists

  • Exercise prescription to help build strength and improve movement
  • Muscle release therapy for tight and painful muscles
  • Joint mobilization to reduce pain and stiffness
  • Acupuncture or Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) to release muscle tension, decrease pain and improve healing

What to Expect

At OCSI we take time to talk to you about what you are experiencing, what your goals are and how we can help you. We will discuss your treatment options and only move forward once you are comfortable.

We strive to help you feel your best and ensure our program works for you.

The first visit is a comprehensive history, physical exam, discussion of our finding and treatment options with you, determining a plan of care and a treatment. Everything we do will be discussed with you and you have the final say. Treatments could include soft tissue therapy, mobilizations, rehabilitation, acupuncture, education, taping, heat, ice or electrical modalities such as IFC, Ultrasound, Microcurrent, Tens, or EMS.

Your specific treatment plan will depend on your needs.

It is best to bring a pair of shorts and a loose fitting T-shirt to your first visit to assist with the physical exam. Your follow up appointments will include the treatment we discussed during your first visit.
